Amazon Studios’ pilot “The After,” which marks “The X Files” creator Chris Carter’s return to TV, has just added “Leverage” actor Aldis Hodge to the cast.
In what would be the first hour-long series from Amazon Studios, Hodge will be playing Irie Love, a 36-year-old escaped convict, who proclaims he’s an innocent man who was railroaded.
Written and directed by Carter, “The After” takes place at the moment of apocalypse. Also starring are Jamie Kennedy, who plays a professional clown; and “Heroes” star Adrian Pasdar, who will play a successful Beverly Hills businessman. Georgeville, the company of Marc Rosen and Reliance’s Motion Picture Capital, is producing the series.
Hodge has co-starred in NBC’s pilot ”The Sixth Gun” this past season.
